To build a beer bong you need a tube a funnel and an optional valve which is to prevent leakage commonly known as alcohol abuse (your thumb could be a valve). All of these items can be found in the plumbing section of your local hardware store. You want vinyl tubing and make sure its long enough (25"-70" depending on usage). You want a plastic valve because the metal fittings are too heavy and expensive. Make sure your tube is slightly larger in diameter then the funnels narrow end so it will snugly fit over it and the valve should fit snugly at the other end of you vinyl tube.
To hold it all together you need two adjustable fittings. These will also be in the plumbing department and you will probably have to use metal ones. They tighten with a screw driver after you slip them into place -one over the tube and funnel end and the other over the tube and valve end. In a pinch cable ties could hold it together but spillage is likley with out the proper fittings.

Remember used in moderation and with nothing stronger than the average brew, beer bongs are an interesting conversation piece not soon forgotten by users. But used in excess or with stronger concotions and they become dangerous. Alcohol is a poison and introducing to much alcohol to quickly can kill. Use with care and in moderation.
